Kurt Jacobson is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary Univesity of London where he is contributing to the field of music information retrieval by developing new data models for similarity. He is particularly interested applying Linked Data technology to music search and recommendation. To this end, he spends lots of time co-maintaining the DBTune website.
He has been known to create music and DJ under the moniker of Kurtis Random. More recently he has been a pivotal force in the creative resurgence of the C4DM Presents artist collective where he has conceived, implemented, and contributed to a number of projects.
